Aigne is a village built on a medieval «circulade». The circular winding streets give rise to the name «escargot» or snail.
Your visit starts with the unique archway wich leads into three narrow winding streets. The middle one taking you to the Church square.
The XIth century Church is dedicated to «Saint Martin», it has three bells adorning the Gothic bell tower, one of them dates back to 1616 and is classified «Monuments historiques», Two smaller bells date back to 1484.
